About Route 1 Guesthouse
Route 1 Guesthouse opened in May 2016. We are located in the Greater Reykjavík area. Reykjavik downtown is within easy reach, 10 minutes’ drive and only 35 minutes’ drive to Keflavik International airport.
All the rooms are situated on the second floor, but please note there is no elevator. Prices can be negotiated during the low season and for longer stays.
We wish to give our guests the best service possible and to make them feel at home. Provide a good and personal service and assist our guests in any way we can.

Route 1 Guesthouse is conveniently located between Keflavík International Airport and Reykjavík City Center, in a town called Hafnarfjordur. We offer free parking and easy access to all destinations.
Bus nr 1. departs every 15-20 minutes and goes directly into Reykjavík City Centre. The journey takes around 20 minutes. If you are travelling to or from the airport, all airport buses will take you directly to the hotel. Just make sure to present the name o the hotel to the bus driver.
Route 1 Guesthouse is an ideal option for anyone with a rental car, as it only takes around 10 minutes to drive into the city centre. There is an abundance of shops, restaurants and cafés nearby the guesthouse.
